Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was founded on November 12, 1922 on the campus of Butler University, which is located in Indianapolis Indiana. The Founders of the organization are: Mary Lou Allison Gardner Little, Dorothy Hanley Whiteside, Nannie Mae Gahn Johnson, Hattie Mae Dulin Redford, Bessie M. Downey Martin, Vivian White Marbury, and Cubena McClure.



Mission Statement: â€‹Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority's aim is to enhance the quality of life within the community. Public service, leadership development and educaton of youth are the hallmark of the organization's programs and activities. Sigma Gamma Rho addresses concerns that impact society educationally, civically, and economically.
